I am a co-author of a paper just published in PLoS ONE: "A multidimensional understanding of prosperity and well-being at country level: Data-driven explorations". My first involvement with empirical research (though that was all done by the other two authors, Mohsen Joshanloo and Veljko Jovanovic, both psychologists) - an interesting and enlightening experience. For those interested in well-being, the study uses factor analysis on a range of indicators, to investigate how well-being and prosperity behave at country level.
